Chromatin-targeting small molecules cause class-specific transcriptional changes in pancreatic endocrine cells

Chromatin-targeting small molecules cause class-specific transcriptional changes in pancreatic endocrine cells

I will present the paper by Stefan Kubicek et al. (Stuart Schreiber lab) published on PNAS in February this year.
Although we believe that KMTs and KDMs are more specific than HATs, HDACs,
DNMTs and PRMTs and that therefore epigenetics drugs targeting KMTs/KDMs are
more beneficial, nobody has actually compared specificity of these drugs.
Stefan Kubicek et al now shows that KMT inhibitors indeed modulate a restricted subset of genes. I think this paper is quite important for us who are involved in development of KMT/KDM inhibitors. Thus decided to present this paper.
